Centrifugal Blowers Spotlight Series: Turbo Pressure Blowers – AVP and BC

This post in our Spotlight Series on Centrifugal Blowers from Howden American Fan features AVP Turbo Pressure Blowers and BC Backwardly Inclined Blowers. These turbo pressure blowers are made with heavy gauge continuously welded housings. Standard features include dynamically balanced wheels to assure smooth operation and Teflon shaft seals. American Fan turbo pressure blowers also feature heavy-duty anti-friction pillow block ball bearings and can develop pressures to 110″ S.P.W.G., with capacities to 8000 CFM.

AVP Turbo Pressure Blower

The AVP blower features a cast almag radial open design for light material handling applications. AVP is ideal for textile industry lint conveying applications requiring AMCA Type “B” spark resistant construction. AVP wheels are available in 17″ through 23″ diameters.

BC Backwardly Inclined Blower

BC blowers feature a high efficiency backwardly inclined airfoil bladed wheel designed for clean dry air applications and exhibiting non-overloading horsepower characteristics, offering stable performance over the entire pressure curve. The high efficiency backwardly curved single thickness wheel has a blade shape similar to the convex shape of the BCA airfoil wheel. This shape provides nearly identical performance characteristics at a given speed at a slightly lower efficiency.
